Fourth Tulsa Research Partners Citywide Research Day

Tulsa Research Partners invites you to submit a contributed talk or a poster for the Fourth Tulsa Citywide Research Day. Attendance is FREE.

Citywide Research Day is a free daylong conference for Oklahoma academic researchers to share their work with others in the Tulsa community. Although submissions from all disciplines are encouraged, this year features a special track with the theme of FEWS (Food, Energy and Water Systems).

Tulsa Research Partners is a collaboration of The University of Oklahoma-Tulsa, The University of Tulsa, Tulsa Community College, both Tulsa Campuses of Oklahoma State University (OSU-CHS and OSU-Tulsa), Oral Roberts University, Northeastern State University and the Oklahoma Innovation Institute.

The program committee is soliciting submissions to display a broad cross-section of research in Tulsa. Submissions highlighting broad collaborations, works with opportunities for collaboration, undergraduate research, and works in progress are especially encouraged.

Submissions from all disciplines will be considered, but focus areas for 2016 include:

Food, Energy and Water Systems:  Production · Resilience · Safety · Security · Generation · Distribution · Consumption · Efficiency · Conservation · Interconnected systems · Related topics ·

General track: All disciplines, including · Health and biosciences · Math and computer science · Social sciences · Humanities · Engineering and natural sciences ·

Contributed presentations will be 20 minutes, including questions and transition. Expected poster size is about 4’x3’. Both should assume a general scientific audience. Please submit the following as a PDF or Word document to researchday@oii.org:

  • Title
  • Whether the submission is intended as a talk, a poster or both.
  • Author(s) and affiliations, indicating the presenting and corresponding authors if applicable
  • Abstract of no more than 250 words

Submissions close:                         Friday, October 14th
Notification of presenters by:        Friday, October 21st
Preregistration closes:                   Friday, October 28th
Tulsa Research Day:                      Thursday, November 3rd
